The Wishbone Bridge forms a gateway structure at the Wolverhampton end of the Light Rail System link with Birmingham.  The deck consists of two elements either side of a split spine steel arch which rises out of their centre and transverses the deck to found on their extremity.  The suspended arch spans 40m with a 20m secondary span providing an aesthetic balance.  The foundations to all three spine arch supports are bored piles with rock sockets formed in sandstone.
