Following successful design work on the Rambler viaducts, Tony Gee was further retained for extensive consultancy work on MTRC's Hong Kong Airport Railway.  The light railway serves the airport at Chep Lap Kok and is supported in parts by balanced cantilever viaducts, including an 850m crossing of the Rambler Channel plus approach ramps. Tony Gee's scope included the design of the sub-structure for the main crossing and approaches.  The superstructure design totals 1100m of pre-cast post-tensioned viaducts in 30m spans, supporting the six tracks of the railway system.

The deck consists of 3m long 1.9m deep pre-cast concrete box sections, erected using balanced cantilever techniques.  The viaducts are connected in places by crossover slabs and include areas of transverse prestressing.  Tony Gee's work also included the coordination of the structural mechanical and electrical disciplines involved.
