The design of a number of formwork and falsework systems for the insitu concrete works associated with the quay wall construction.
The designs were for reusable systems in both steel and timber.
These included a steel shuttering system for the quay wall facing concrete and various steel and timber systems to the insitu make-up between the sheet piling and the precast concrete element.
The designs were made more complex due to the works being undertaken outside the quay wall and by the need to allow for the large variations in the installed pile alignment.
In addition, for the facing shutter, the base-fixings had to be designed to be made underwater.
