The redevelopment of Falmouth Marina included the construction of a Tidal Viewing Gallery for the Maritime Museum.  The viewing gallery is of semi circular concrete construction built outside the line of the sea wall, and is semi submersed during high tides.  A large glass window in the front of the gallery offers beach level views of the incoming tides and the passing ships.

TGP carried out independent check calculations and issue clause 8a certification for the circular single skin cofferdam required for the construction of the tidal gallery.  The cofferdam was linked into the steel H-pile seawall and exerted considerable forces on it, requiring further checks for the load effects due to construction on the permanent works.
