'Technical Maestros' Tony Gee honoured with top consultant award

Tony Gee is delighted to announce that its growth and reputation as the 'Contractor's Consultant' have been recognised with top honours at the prestigious Consultants of the Year Awards.

Described by New Civil Engineer as 'technical maestros who can sort out any complex construction challenge,' Tony Gee beat off fierce competition to win the NCE/ACE award for the best Medium Sized Consultancy. The accolade was presented at a glittering ceremony held at London's Claridges Hotel last week.

ACE Chief Executive Nelson Ogunshakin said judges had been presented with a difficult task. "It is not easy to win one of these awards," he said. "There are so many boxes for the judges to tick in terms of the standard of the projects. Financial results are only one part of the criteria, and the way a company carries itself and represents the consultant and engineering sector is just as important."

The panel noted that Tony Gee 'punches above its weight' consistently landing contracts to work on high profile transportation and infrastructure projects around the world.

The judges also cited Tony Gee's innovative approach to investment in engineers of the future, commending its student recruitment and training programme.

Managing Executive Director, Graham Nicholson said "We are absolutely delighted with this result. It is a fantastic thing for us to be recognised in this way, not just for the business, but for all our staff and the hard work that they have put in the last few years."
